Updated for the 2021 Ryder Cup
Because we offer golf pools for The Masters and other PGA tour events every week, many golf pool enthusiasts have asked if we offer anything for the Ryder Cup. To meet this demand we've compiled a list of different ideas, and even built out an automated pick & scoring system if you want to run your pool online. We would love to hear from you about other Ryder Cup office pool format options in the comments at the bottom of the article. Enjoy!

Automate Your Scoring & Picksheets With This Format
Create your own Ryder Cup pool and invite your friends to compete!Format #2: Random Draw
Here are some photos from a draft of the 2014 Ryder Cup participants that four friends and I had. We all anted $10, wrote all the names of golfers on a slip of paper, then drew names at random out of a hat to form our teams.
We didn't know how many events our players would be participating in until the captains set the lineups each day, but everyone started from the same playing field since we drew randomly. It was lots of fun!
Format #3: Pick Once
- Points are earned by picking the correct winner of individual matches. Events include Friday Fourball, Friday Foursomes, Saturday Fourball, Saturday Foursomes, and Sunday Singles.
- 2 pts are awarded for each correct match. 1 point if the match is halved.
- Here's the twist: you can only choose a golfer in one of the events. If you choose a golfer in fourball or foursomes he cannot be chosen in singles.
- Timing is key here since matches aren't all announced until the day before. You have to have dedicated participants that will send their picks prior to each round, or submit all picks up front and risk one of their picks not making the roster on one of the days.
