2019 Houston Open Pool Preview

Next stop Houston!

This week we get to enjoy the PGA Tour Professionals teeing it up at the Golf Club of Houston in Humble, Texas.

We are putting our EOP money on Cameron Champ this week. Although he missed the cut last week at the Shriners we still think he’s riding an epic wave after his emotional victory at the Safeway Open two weeks ago.

We wanted to put a spotlight on our man Cameron so we gathered some fun facts for our Pool Fool following to learn more about him, his game, and his equipment. We think he is the perfect combination of power and finesse (his stats back that up!)  and there’s no doubt we will be seeing a lot more of him in the weeks and years to come.

Cameron was born in Sacramento California on June 15th, 1995 making him 24 years old as he hoisted the trophy at the Safeway. He attended Texas A&M University giving him a lot of time to get very familiar with this weeks host club the Golf Club of Houston. He’s competed in 3 events this season and is currently ranked #4 on the 2020 PGA Tour Money List.

How about a few Cameron Champ factoids for the Golf Nerds:
