No Laying Up Ryder Cup Contest official rules

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS CONTEST. THIS CONTEST SHALL BE CONSTRUED AND EVALUATED ACCORDING TO UNITED STATES LAW. THE CONTEST IS OPEN TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THEIR RESPECTIVE COUNTRIES WHERE NOT PROHIBITED BY LAW. SPONSOR HAS THE RIGHT TO VERIFY THE ELIGIBILITY OF EACH ENTRANT. YOU MUST BE 13 YEARS OLD OR OLDER TO PARTICIPATE. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED. A PURCHASE DOES NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING THIS CONTEST.

CONTEST BEGINS AT 8:00:00 AM (CENTRAL STANDARD TIME) ON SEPT. 20, 2018 AND ENDS AT 10:00:00 AM (CENTRAL STANDARD TIME) ON SEPT. 27, 2018 (“PROMOTION PERIOD”). WINNERS ARE DETERMINED AFTER THE 2018 RYDER CUP COMPLETES.

By entering the No Laying Up Ryder Cup Contest (“Contest”), each entrant agrees to abide by these Official Rules.

SPONSOR : The Contest is offered by No Laying Up (Pro Traj Holdings, LLC)

SCORING: An impartial panel of judges from No Laying Up will decide the answers to all of the below questions and will have final say as to outcome of the scoring. The sponsors reserve the right to independently resolve any scoring disputes. The entries will be ranked using the point system below. Whichever entries earn the most points will win prizes according to the prizes below.

• Who will win Ryder Cup? (10 points) (USA wins in the event of 14-14 tie)
• Pick 1 Golfer from Group 1. (4pts for Singles Win, 2 pts for Singles Halve, 2 pts Foursome/Fourball Win, 1 pt for Foursome/Fourball Halve)
• Pick 1 Golfer from Group 2. (4pts for Singles Win, 2 pts for Singles Halve, 2 pts Foursome/Fourball Win, 1 pt for Foursome/Fourball Halve)
• Pick 1 Golfer from Group 3. (4pts for Singles Win, 2 pts for Singles Halve, 2 pts Foursome/Fourball Win, 1 pt for Foursome/Fourball Halve)
• Pick 1 Golfer from Group 4. (4pts for Singles Win, 2 pts for Singles Halve, 2 pts Foursome/Fourball Win, 1 pt for Foursome/Fourball Halve)
• Pick 1 Golfer from Group 5. (4pts for Singles Win, 2 pts for Singles Halve, 2 pts Foursome/Fourball Win, 1 pt for Foursome/Fourball Halve)
• Pick 1 Golfer from Group 6. (4pts for Singles Win, 2 pts for Singles Halve, 2 pts Foursome/Fourball Win, 1 pt for Foursome/Fourball Halve)
• Who will earn the winning point? (10 points)
• Will Reed be shown shushing the crowd? (4 points)
• Will Tiger be shown wearing an earpiece? (4 points)
• Over/Under 2.5 matches played by Sergio (4 points)
• Will Tiger/Bryson play a match together? (4 points)
• Will Tiger/Reed play together? (4 points)
• Will Bubba pump the crowd up as he hits a shot on the first tee? (4 points)
• Will Rory play a round hatless? (4 points)
• Over/under 3.5 matches for Tiger (4 points)
• Will Reed sit out any matches? (4 points)
• How many points will the United States earn in total? (15 Points) (This is also the 1st tiebreaker. Whoever is closest wins tiebreaker if needed.)

TIEBREAKERS:

1st tiebreak: closest to the USA points in total, as noted above.

2nd tiebreaker: scorecard playoff. Winner is whoever answered a question worth more points than the person they tied. For example, if you have the same points and both answered the first tiebreaker 3 points away from the USA total points, but your best golfer earned 12 points vs your opponents best golfer that earned 11 points, you win the scorecard playoff. Keep going down the questions until the tie is broken.

3rd tiebreak: random draw.

** No Laying Up reserves the right to decide any tiebreaker disputes.

** Tiebreakers and official winners may not be represented on the final leaderboard until after the Ryder Cup.

If a match is only partially completed for any reason, no points will be awarded for matches that are left undecided.

FAQ - updated based on any questions received about the rules

• The "matches" for over/under ... does that include singles? The over/under questions for "matches" includes Total matches played. Includes singles, foursomes, and fourball matches.
• Does Reed shushing crowd before Friday count? No. All action must be from Friday to Sunday.

PRIZES : Upon certification by Sponsor as an eligible participant, the winners will be determined based on the most points and the tiebreakers. The following prizes will be awarded:

No substitution of the Prize or transfer of the Prize to a third party is permitted, except by Sponsor, who may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.

Taxes and duties (where applicable) are the sole responsibility of the winner. All expenses not specified herein, including, but not limited to local, state, or federal taxes on the Prize, are the sole responsibility of the winner. Entry in this Contest constitutes each entrant’s agreement to pay all applicable taxes and comply with all laws.

HOW TO ENTER : During the Promotion Period, visit https://www.easyofficepools.com/nlu/ and complete the Official Entry Form, as indicated. Limit of one (1) entry per person

Participants must provide their name and a valid email address. Upon completion of the Official Entry Form, click the “submit” button to send the entry. Entries must be received by 10:00:00 a.m. (Central Standard Time) on Sept. 27, 2018. This signup deadline had to be accelerated when we learned the date/time of the Ryder Cup pairings announcement to ensure fairness of the contest. All entries are subject to Easy Office Pools Privacy Policy at https://www.easyofficepools.com/privacy/ . All email addresses are subject to verification prior to being allocated an entry. All entries become the sole property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. All email addresses will be shared with No Laying Up, Callaway, Mizzen+Main, and Easy Office Pools and will be used for future marketing purposes.

ELIGIBILITY: THE CONTEST IS OPEN TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THEIR RESPECTIVE COUNTRIES WHERE NOT PROHIBITED BY LAW AND ARE 13 YEARS OLD OR OLDER AT THE TIME OF ENTRY. Proof of membership, age and residency may be required. The winners must have sumbmitted a valid email along with their entry. If the winner is unreachable at their submitted email address they are not elibible to win the prize. Employees of Sponsor and its subsidiaries, affiliates, parent companies, retail locations, suppliers, distributors, advertising, promotion or any other agencies or entities involved with this Contest and members of their families (parents, siblings, children, and their respective spouses) and/or those residing in the same household (whether related or not) of each of the above are not eligible to enter or win. Void where prohibited. Contest also void where restricted in a manner not satisfied by the publication of these terms and conditions on this website. No purchase necessary nor shall a purchase increase odds of winning. Entrants may not use a proxy service or third party to enter on their behalf.

NOTIFICATION AND COLLECTION OF PRIZE: The potential winner will be notified by email following the contest on or about October 10rd, 2018. The potential winner is subject to verification and must meet all eligibility requirements before the Prize will be awarded. In the event that the potential winner does not meet all eligibility requirements, that person may be disqualified and the Prize will be awarded to another individual. The potential winner must follow the directions contained in the Prize Acceptance Form provided by Sponsor and email or fax all completed forms, correctly filled out and signed, and provide any additional information that may be required, to Sponsor within three (3) days of notification as a potential winner, including, but not limited to, an Affidavit of Eligibility/Further Release of Liability and Publicity Rights (where legal). Failure to respond within the time specified or other non-compliance with these Official Rules will result in disqualification as a potential prizewinner and void further participation in the Contest. If a selected entrant cannot be contacted in a timely fashion, or if for any reason a Prize cannot be awarded, another Contest entry will be randomly selected until the Prize has been awarded. Sponsor is not responsible for any failure for any reason whatsoever of the selected entrant to receive notification or for Sponsor to receive a selected entrant’s response.

WINNER LIST : The name of the Contest winner will be available after Sept. 30, 2018. To obtain the name of the Contest winner visit the contest leaderboard at: https://www.easyofficepools.com/nlu/leaderboard.php , within 90 days following the Promotion Period end date.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS : To the fullest extent allowed by law, by accepting the Prize, the winner consents to the use of his/her name and address and/or likeness for purposes of advertising or trade without additional compensation. By entering the Contest, all entrants consent to Sponsor’s collection, use and disclosure of personal information to any third party for the purposes of administering the Contest and, unless otherwise specified, for consumer research and marketing purposes. To the extent permitted by law, upon entering into this Contest, each entrant agrees to Sponsor’s use of his/her personal information, as described in its Privacy Policy located at: https://www.easyofficepools.com/privacy/ Any dispute or controversy arising under or in connection with this Contest shall be settled exclusively by arbitration, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association then in effect.

By accepting the Prize, the winner releases Sponsor, its subsidiaries, parent and affiliates, its advertising, judging and promotion agencies, and the respective shareholders, directors, officers, distributors, employees and agencies of all such entities, from all liability arising from or in connection with the acceptance, possession, or use/misuse of the Prize. The winner acknowledges that neither Sponsor nor its agents have made or are in any manner responsible or liable for any representation, guarantee or warranty, expressed or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any Prize awarded herein, including, but not limited to, its quality, mechanical condition or fitness for a particular purpose.

Sponsor assumes no responsibility for computer system, hardware, software, or program malfunctions or other errors, failures, delayed computer transmissions or faulty network connections, whether human or technical in nature. Sponsor is not responsible for late, incorrect, lost, illegible, incomplete, stolen, damaged, misdirected entries or Prize claims. If, in Sponsor’s opinion, there is any suspected or actual evidence of tampering with any portion of the Contest, or if technical difficulties compromise any portion of the Contest or the integrity of the promotion, Sponsor reserves the right to suspend, modify or terminate the Contest and conduct drawings to award the Prizes using all legitimate and eligible entries received as of the date of action taken by Sponsor.

This Contest is governed by the laws of the State of Florida for the resolution of all claims and disputes.
